LOS ANGELES, CA – January 22, 2007 – The 2007 MTE Person of the Year Awards were announced January 20, 2007 at the International Mobile Tech Expo in Clearwater, Florida. Doug Snow and Kian Amirkhizi, co-owners and founders of MATRI-X (www.thematri-x.com), were honored by being named co-Restoration Persons of the Year for 2007 by their peers and the industry publication Mobile Tech News.

The purpose of the award is to recognize members of the automotive restoration industry who deserve international recognition for outstanding achievement, according to Kevin Halewood, editor of Mobile Tech News. Mobile Tech’s Restoration Person(s) of the Year honorees were selected based on their significant contributions to the automotive reconditioning industry in the areas of detailing, interior restoration, paint restoration, windshield repair and automotive accessories. Awards were presented at the Mobile Tech Expo in Clearwater, Florida January 18-21, 2007.
Doug Snow reacted this way: “Kian and I both find this award to be a huge honor. We have always considered the progress and energy of our industry to be a shared responsibility of all professionals, and we are just happy to be a part of it.”
Kian Amirkhizi and Doug Snow have been providing trainings as MATRI-X since 2005. MATRI-X Opens Online Store
LOS ANGELES – February 14, 2007 – MATRI-X was proud to announce that they have opened an online store featuring an elite line of products for the repair and restoration of leather, vinyl, plastic and velour.
This venture has been a long-time effort for Doug Snow and Kian Amirkhizi, founder and co-owners of MATRI-X. Both are instructors for the professional seminar series that MATRI-X offers to teach professional skills and techniques for interior/aesthetic repair.
The MATRI-X online store will offer a huge selection of products made by the top manufacturers in the industry. Kian Amirkhizi explains it this way: “Our vision has been to create a virtual supermarket of interior repair products, a place where a person can go and enjoy one-stop shopping for everything they need.”

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 22, 2007 – MATRI-X founders Kian Amirkhizi and Doug Snow enjoyed meeting lots of new friends while attending the MATRI-X exhibit at the International Mobile Tech Expo in Clearwater, Florida January 18-20 2007.
This exposition was particularly noteworthy for MATRI-X, since a new redesigned web site, logo and overall look for the professional training company was unveiled. In addition, MATRI-X was proud to show a preview of the online store that they will be opening in the next couple of weeks.
Both Doug and Kian enjoyed meeting lots of new people and the warm reception they received at their pre-service class. The class wound up having a significant number of people attend, all who enjoyed working with Kian and Doug |
